Spicy Jalapeño Cream Cheese Dip

A creamy and cheesy dip with a kick of spice, perfect for parties and gatherings.

  • 8 oz softened cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or pepper jack)
  • 2 fresh jalapeños, finely chopped (seeds removed for less heat)
  • 1/4 cup chopped pickled jalapeños (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • Optional mix-ins: chopped green onions, cilantro, crispy bacon, or smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Prep your jalapeños by finely chopping them and removing the seeds if you want less heat.
  2. In a bowl, mash the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Stir in the shredded cheese, chopped jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and lime juice.
  4. Add sour cream or Greek yogurt to loosen the texture, starting with a small spoonful and adding more as desired.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning and spiciness by adding more jalapeños or pickled brine.
  6. If serving warm, microwave in short bursts or bake at 350°F until bubbly.

Notes

This dip can be made up to 2 days in advance and stored in the fridge. To serve warm, assemble in an oven-safe dish.
