Judy’s Hot Chocolate

Judy’s Hot Chocolate is a rich and creamy beverage perfect for chilly nights or cozy gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 12 oz evaporated milk
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup heavy cream (cold)
  • 1/4 cup whole milk (cold)
  • 2 tablespoons hot fudge sundae topping (warmed)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, combine whole milk, evaporated milk, and mini marshmallows. Whisk everything together.
  2. Stir the mixture until the marshmallows just begin to melt.
  3. Add the semi-sweet chocolate chips and scrape the bottom of the pot to prevent sticking.
  4. Continue stirring until all the marshmallows are melted and the mixture is soupy.
  5. Remove the pot from heat when it begins to steam.
  6. In a mason jar or cocktail shaker, combine heavy cream, cold milk, and hot fudge. Shake until frothy.
  7. Pour the hot chocolate into a serving pitcher and top with the foamy cream.
  8. Gently stir until consistent in color.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Serve topped with extra mini marshmallows, whipped cream, or hot fudge. Can be customized with various toppings.
