Lavender Lemonade

A calming, floral twist on a springtime favorite – this Lavender Lemonade is refreshing, relaxing, and as beautiful to serve as it is to sip.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups water, divided
  • 1/4 cup dried culinary lavender
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (approximately 68 lemons)
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup, adjustable to taste
  • Ice cubes

  2. Remove from heat and add the dried culinary lavender.
  3. Cover and steep for 10 minutes.
  4. Strain the infusion through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher, discarding the lavender buds.
  5. Add the fresh lemon juice to the lavender-infused water.
  6. Stir in your chosen sweetener, beginning with 1/2 cup and adjusting to taste.
  7. Add the remaining 2 cups of water and stir well to combine.
  8. Refrigerate until thoroughly chilled, at least 1 hour.
  9. Fill glasses with ice cubes.
  10. Pour the chilled lavender lemonade over the ice.

Notes

Use only culinary-grade lavender. Don’t oversteep to avoid bitterness. Chill thoroughly before serving. For a fancier touch, freeze lavender buds in ice cubes.
