Longhorn Steakhouse Parmesan Crusted Chicken

A delightful chicken dish with smoky flavors and a crunchy topping, perfect for impressing family or guests.

  • ½ cup Italian dressing
  • ⅓ cup ranch dressing
  • 4 thinly sliced chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 ounces Provolone cheese, shredded or diced
  • ⅓ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ⅓ cup ranch dressing
  • ½ cup panko bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 ½ teaspoons garlic powder
  • 3 tablespoons salted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together Italian dressing and ranch dressing.
  2. Add the chicken breasts to the bowl, ensuring they are well coated with the dressing. Cover and marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix the Provolone cheese, Parmesan cheese, and ranch dressing.
  4. Microwave the cheese mixture in 30-second intervals, stirring until melted and smooth.
  5. In a small bowl, combine the panko bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and melted butter. Stir well.
  6. Preheat your broiler on low and place the rack in the middle of the oven.
  7. Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat and add vegetable oil.
  8. Cook the marinated chicken for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  9. Spread the cheese sauce evenly over the cooked chicken.
  10. Sprinkle the Parmesan crust mixture on top of the cheese sauce.
  11. Broil the chicken for about 5-10 minutes until the top is golden brown and crispy.
  12. Serve the chicken immediately with your favorite side dishes.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the chicken a day in advance. You can also swap cheeses based on preference.
