Chestnut Praline Latte (Starbucks Copycat)

A homemade version of Starbucks’ seasonal chestnut praline latte, featuring nutty chestnut syrup, espresso, and frothy milk.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup roasted chestnuts, chopped small
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 2 shots of espresso (or very strong brewed coffee)
  • 12 tbsp homemade chestnut syrup
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or oat)
  • Whipped cream (for topping)
  • Crushed praline nuts (for topping)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine chopped chestnuts, brown sugar, water, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  2. Simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, then cool and strain out chestnut pieces.
  3. In a separate pot, heat the milk until steamy and froth it if desired.
  4. In a mug, pour the espresso followed by the chestnut syrup, then top off with the warm milk.
  5. Finish with whipped cream and a sprinkle of crushed praline nuts.

Notes

Use fresh or high-quality pre-roasted chestnuts for the best flavor. Frothing the milk enhances the drink’s texture.
