Meat Lovers Pepperoni Pizza Tacos

A fun and satisfying fusion of pizza and tacos, packed with pepperoni, Italian sausage, and gooey mozzarella cheese.

  • 1 pound Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup pizza sauce (plus extra for drizzling)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 8 taco shells (hard or soft, your choice)
  • Additional toppings (optional): diced bell peppers, sliced olives, red onion, fresh basil, or Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the Italian sausage. Use a spoon to break it up as it cooks. Cook until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess grease.
  2. Stir in the pepperoni slices, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and pizza sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated throughout.
  3. Remove from heat and mix in shredded mozzarella cheese until melted.
  4. If using hard taco shells, bake according to package instructions until crispy. For soft taco shells, warm them in a skillet or microwave.
  5. Spoon the meat and cheese mixture into each taco shell generously.
  6. Top each taco with your choice of additional toppings.
  7. Drizzle some extra pizza sauce over the top of each taco.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy with a side salad or dipping sauces.

Notes

Leftover filling can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Taco shells should be kept separately to maintain texture.
