Mini Apple Pies

Delightful Mini Apple Pies with a crispy, buttery crust and sweet, spiced apple filling, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ⅔ cup unsalted butter (cold and cut into pieces)
  • 4 tablespoons cold water
  • 2 cups finely chopped and peeled baking apples (about 2 apples)
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt together.
  2. Add the cold butter pieces. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs.
  3. Pour in the cold water, one tablespoon at a time. Stir with a fork until the dough comes together.
  4. Once the dough forms, divide it in half and shape each half into a disk.
  5. Wrap the disks in plastic wrap and chill them in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  6. While the dough chills, prepare the apple filling. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and allspice. Stir well to coat the apples. Set aside to allow the flavors to mingle.
