  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¾ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten and at room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk chocolate pastel M&Ms

Instructions

  3. In a separate bowl, beat softened butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix just until a dough forms.
  6. Scoop dough into balls about 2–3 tablespoons each and place 2–3 inches apart on the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges begin to lightly brown.
  8. Remove from oven and immediately press nine M&Ms into each cookie to form a bunny face.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For a lighter option, use half the sugar and add unsweetened applesauce. These cookies freeze well and can also be made healthier by substituting whole grain flour.
