Old School Easy Brown Sugar Peach Cobbler

A simple and delicious peach cobbler featuring ripe peaches and a golden, buttery crust that’s perfect for summer gatherings.

  • 6 ripe Freestone peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix sliced peaches with 1/2 cup of brown sugar and set aside.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining brown sugar.
  4. Add melted butter and milk to the dry ingredients; stir just until combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  6. Top the batter with the peach mixture evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or enjoy it cold the next day.
