Mulled Apple Juice

A warm, comforting drink made with fresh apple juice and spices, perfect for chilly days.

Ingredients

  • 1 litre cloudy apple juice
  • 1 orange
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 star anise
  • Redcurrants for decoration

Instructions

  1. Pour the apple juice into a saucepan and warm gently over medium to low heat.
  2. Slice the orange in half and squeeze the juice from one half into the apple juice.
  3. Cut the remaining half of the orange into slices for decoration.
  4. Add the star anise and cinnamon sticks to the saucepan.
  5. Simmer the mixture gently for about 5 minutes without boiling.
  6. Pour the mulled apple juice into glasses and decorate with orange slices, cinnamon sticks, and redcurrants.

Notes

Best served warm and can be paired with snacks like cheese platters or baked goods.
