Oreo Penguins

Oreo Penguins are cute and festive treats made from fudge-covered Oreo cookies, decorated with chocolate and candies, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 7.9 ounces fudge-covered OREOs (1 package)
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips or semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 12 white candy melt wafers
  • 24 small candy eyes
  • 12 mini M&Ms (orange)
  • 1 Pull n Peel Twizzler (red or any color you prefer)
  • 24 Junior Mints

Instructions

  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and place 12 fudge-covered OREOs evenly spaced.
  2. Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, heating for 30 seconds on 50% power and stirring. Continue microwaving in 10-15 second intervals until smooth.
  3. Spread melted chocolate on the back of a white candy melt and attach it to the bottom half of each OREO to form the penguin’s stomach.
  4. Using a toothpick, place a small dot of melted chocolate on each OREO where the eyes will go and press candy eyes onto the dots.
  5. Cut mini orange M&Ms in half and use a toothpick to dab melted chocolate on the cut side, then place it between the eyes as the beak.
  6. Peel the Twizzler into 2 strands, cut into 2-inch pieces, and spread melted chocolate on one side; press this onto the top of each OREO to form earmuff bands.
  7. Spread melted chocolate on the flat side of two Junior Mints for each penguin and attach them to each side of the penguin’s head at the ends of the Twizzler strand.
  8. Allow the OREO Penguins to set at room temperature for 30 minutes or refrigerate for 10-15 minutes before serving.
