Paloma Mocktail

A refreshing and fizzy mocktail made with pink grapefruit juice, lime, honey, and soda water, perfect for parties and light snacking.

Ingredients

  • ice cubes
  • 120 ml pink grapefruit juice
  • 1 lime, juiced (20 ml), squeezed halves reserved
  • 1½ tbsp clear honey
  • 1 tbsp caster sugar
  • 120 ml soda water
  • twist of grapefruit peel, to serve (optional)

Instructions

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker or large lidded jar with ice cubes.
  2. Add the grapefruit juice, lime juice, and honey.
  3. Cover, then shake until the shaker feels cold.
  4. Put the sugar on a small plate and run the lime halves over the rims of 2 tumblers.
  5. Turn the rims of the tumblers in the sugar to coat.
  6. Put a few ice cubes in each tumbler and strain the grapefruit mixture between them.
  7. Top up with soda water and garnish with a twist of grapefruit peel, if desired.

Notes

For a low-calorie option, skip the sugar rim and use a zero-calorie sweetener. You can store the grapefruit and lime base in the fridge for up to 48 hours before adding soda water.
