  • 1 inch fresh ginger, peeled and roughly chopped
  • ½ inch fresh turmeric root, peeled and roughly chopped (or ½ teaspoon ground turmeric)
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • 24 tablespoons water (optional, for blending)

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop the ginger and turmeric. Cut the pineapple into chunks and juice the lemon.
  2. Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until completely smooth.
  3. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a bowl, pressing to extract all liquid.
  4. Strain again for ultra-smooth texture if desired. Discard the pulp.
  5. Pour into shot glasses or small jars. Store in the fridge up to 3 days. Shake well before each use.
  6. Consume 1–2 ounces per day, preferably on an empty stomach for best absorption.

Notes

For easier storage, freeze ginger and turmeric roots – they grate easily and last longer. Don’t skip the black pepper, as it boosts turmeric absorption significantly. For a gentler version, increase pineapple and reduce ginger. Store shots in small airtight glass jars for convenience. Always use fresh lemon juice for best flavor and vitamin C.
