Prosciutto Crostini with Balsamic Glaze

A delightful appetizer featuring crispy bread, creamy burrata cheese, savory prosciutto, and sweet balsamic glaze.

  • 1 loaf Fresh Italian Bread
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 1/2 cup Balsamic Vinegar
  • 8 oz Burrata Cheese
  • 4 oz Prosciutto
  • 45 Leaves Fresh Basil
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 1/4 tsp Fresh Black Pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Slice the loaf of Italian bread into 1-2 inch slices and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the olive oil and minced garlic together.
  4. Use a pastry brush to apply the olive oil mixture on each slice of bread.
  5. Bake the bread slices in the oven for 2-3 minutes until they are crusty and slightly brown.
  6. For the balsamic glaze, pour balsamic vinegar into a saucepan, heat gently and let simmer until thickened.
  7. Spread burrata cheese on each bread slice.
  8. Top with a slice of prosciutto.
  9. Drizzle honey over each crostini.
  10. Sprinkle fresh black pepper on top if desired.
  11. Add a fresh basil leaf to each crostini.

Notes

Best served fresh, with optional balsamic glaze on the side. Can be customized with different cheeses or toppings.
