Pull-Apart Sourdough with Brie, Cranberry & Herb Garlic Butter

This pull-apart sourdough bread is a delightful treat filled with gooey Brie cheese, sweet cranberries, and fragrant garlic herb butter.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large sourdough loaf (round or oval)
  • 10 oz Brie cheese, sliced
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (whole berry or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with the minced garlic, chopped thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper to make garlic herb butter.
  3. Using a serrated knife, make diagonal cuts across the top of the sourdough loaf without cutting all the way through.
  4. Spread the garlic herb butter mixture generously between the cuts in the bread.
  5. Add slices of Brie cheese into the cuts, tucking them in nicely, then spoon cranberry sauce over the cheese.
  6. Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil to keep moisture in while it bakes.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until the cheese melts and the bread is warm and soft.
  8. Remove from the oven, unwrap, and serve warm.

Notes

Serve warm for the best flavor, and pair with salads or a charcuterie board.
