Pure Cherry Blossom Tea

A beautiful and delicate drink made from sakura blossoms, capturing the essence of spring.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp preserved sakura blossoms (rinsed)
  • 1 cup just-under-boiling water
  • 1 tsp cherry blossom syrup (or mild cherry syrup)
  • Edible flower & baby cherry for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse the preserved sakura blossoms under cold water.
  2. Boil water until it is just under boiling point (about 190°F or 88°C).
  3. Place the rinsed sakura blossoms in a teacup or glass.
  4. Pour the hot water over the blossoms, ensuring they are fully submerged.
  5. Allow the blossoms to steep for about 3 minutes.
  6. Add cherry blossom syrup if desired for sweetness.
  7. Strain the tea into another cup to remove the blossoms.
  8. Garnish with an edible flower and a baby cherry before serving.

Notes

Enjoy this tea hot or cold. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
