Roasted Fig and Lavender Moka Pot Latte

A luxurious latte that combines the sweet flavors of roasted figs with the floral notes of lavender, perfect for any time of day.

Ingredients

  • 4 fresh figs, halved
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 2 tbsp dried culinary lavender
  • 23 tbsp honey or sugar
  • 60 ml strong moka pot coffee or 1 double shot espresso
  • Optional: 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, pinch of salt
  • Optional fig syrup: 1/4 cup water, 2 tbsp honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (205°C).
  2. Place fig halves on a baking sheet, drizzle with honey, and roast for 12–15 minutes.
  3. In a saucepan, combine milk and dried lavender, and heat on low for 5–7 minutes. Strain the milk to remove lavender flowers.
  4. Brew your moka pot coffee.
  5. For the fig syrup, blend roasted figs with water and honey, then strain.
  6. Assemble the latte by stirring in fig syrup, pouring in coffee, and topping with lavender-infused milk. Garnish as desired.

Notes

Best enjoyed warm. Pair with light snacks like cookies or pastries for a delightful experience.
