Roasted Pears with Goat Cheese & Maple-Walnut Drizzle

A delightful dish combining sweet and savory flavors with tender pears, creamy goat cheese, and a sweet maple-walnut drizzle.

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe but firm pears
  • 120g goat cheese (soft, crumbled)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh thyme
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Maple syrup for drizzling
  • Chopped walnuts for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the pears in half and remove the cores.
  3. Arrange the pear halves cut-side up in a baking dish in a single layer.
  4. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and lemon zest, and add chopped thyme on top.
  5. Crumble goat cheese over each pear half.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until tender and cheese is golden.
  7. Drizzle maple syrup over the pears and sprinkle with walnuts before serving.
  8. Allow to cool slightly, and enjoy.

Notes

Can be served warm or at room temperature. For added flavor, pair with a simple salad or crusty bread.
