Rose Hibiscus Lemonade

A refreshing drink combining floral hibiscus with tart lemon juice, sweetened to perfection, ideal for hot summer days.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried hibiscus flowers
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/2 cup sugar (or to taste)
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • Fresh rose petals (for garnish)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Add the dried hibiscus flowers and boil for about 10 minutes.
  3. Strain the mixture into a pitcher and discard the flowers.
  4. Stir in the sugar until dissolved.
  5. Let the mixture cool to room temperature, then add fresh lemon juice.
  6. Refrigerate until chilled.
  7. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh rose petals.

Notes

Store any leftovers in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Freeze in ice cube trays for later use.
