Rose Simple Syrup

An elegant homemade syrup that adds a floral sweetness to your beverages and desserts.

  • 2/3 cup dried rose petals (food-grade)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Place the dried rose petals, sugar, and water in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir to combine.
  2. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer to extract the rose flavor.
  3. Allow the mixture to simmer for an additional 5 to 7 minutes, keeping it at a light simmer.
  4. Remove from heat and use a mesh strainer to strain the syrup and remove the rose petals.
  5. Pour the finished syrup into a glass jar and store it in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Notes

This syrup pairs well with cocktails, teas, and desserts for a sweet and fragrant touch. It can also be frozen in ice cube trays for easy use later.
