Rose Simple Syrup

A delicate sweetener infused with the floral essence of roses, perfect for enhancing drinks and desserts.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cane sugar (or granulated white)
  • 1/2 cup rose water (Cortas or Sadaf recommended)
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Combine the sugar, rose water, and water in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir occasionally until the mixture is clear, indicating that the sugar has fully dissolved.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and let it bubble gently, watching closely to prevent burning.
  4. Allow it to simmer for about 20 minutes until the syrup reduces by half.
  5. Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature.
  6. Use a funnel to transfer the syrup into a clean glass jar.
  7. Seal the jar and refrigerate or freeze portions in silicone molds for longer storage.

Notes

Store in a clean glass jar with a tight lid in the refrigerator for about a month, or freeze for longer use.
