Salted Caramel Mini Eggs Tart

A rich and delicious dessert featuring creamy layers and a crunchy crust, perfect for special occasions or as a guilt-free treat.

Ingredients

  • 350 g Oreos (about 31 cookies, crushed)
  • 125 g (½ cup + 1 tbsp) unsalted butter, melted
  • 250 g (¾ cup + 1 tbsp) thick ready-made salted caramel sauce
  • 230 g (8 oz) dark chocolate, chopped
  • 280 ml (1 ⅙ cups) double cream (heavy cream)
  • 150 g (5.3 oz) mini eggs, halved or slightly crushed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Oreo Base: Crush the Oreos until fine crumbs, mix with melted butter, and press into the bottom of the tart pan.
  2. Add the Salted Caramel Layer: Drizzle the salted caramel over the Oreo crust and spread evenly.
  3. Make the Chocolate Ganache: Combine dark chocolate and double cream, heat until smooth, then pour over the caramel layer.
  4. Assemble the Tart: Top with halved mini eggs.
  5. Chill the Tart: Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.

Notes

For added protein, serve with a dollop of Greek yogurt. This tart can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to five days.
