Sausage Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls

Delicious and easy-to-make savory rolls filled with breakfast sausage and cream cheese, wrapped in flaky crescent dough.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (10 oz) fire-roasted diced tomatoes and green chilies, well drained
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the cooked and crumbled sausage with softened cream cheese, well-drained tomatoes and green chilies, and chopped parsley until completely combined and creamy.
  3. Roll out one canister of crescent dough on a clean surface. Use a pizza cutter to cut along the perforated lines and then carefully slice each triangle in half lengthwise to create 16 smaller triangles.
  4. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the sausage filling and place it at the wide end of each triangle.
  5. Stretch the top of the dough over the filling and roll toward the pointed end of the triangle. Then, place each roll on your prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between them.
  6. Repeat with the second can of dough and remaining filling to make 32 rolls total.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes or until the tops turn golden brown and the dough looks flaky.
  8. Let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Best enjoyed warm with dipping sauces like ranch dressing or zesty salsa. Can be made ahead by preparing the filling and rolling them up beforehand.
