BBQ Pulled Beef Sandwiches

Delicious and easy BBQ pulled beef sandwiches made using a slow cooker for tender, juicy beef and served in soft buns, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 23 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (your choice)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 12 tbsp brown sugar (optional)
  • Soft sandwich rolls or brioche buns

Instructions

  1. Pat the beef chuck roast dry, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and place in the slow cooker.
  2. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and pour the BBQ sauce over the top.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours in the slow cooker, or pressure cook for 50 minutes if using an Instant Pot.
  4. Once cooked, shred the beef using two forks.
  5. Stir the shredded beef into the juices and serve on buns.

Notes

For added flavor, experiment with different BBQ sauce varieties. Leftovers can be used in many ways, including on loaded fries or in baked sweet potatoes.
