  • 4 to 5 fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 2 cups fresh blackberries (or frozen, thawed and drained)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for the fruit and topping)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into cubes
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: Chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine sliced peaches and blackberries with lemon juice, sugar, and flour. Gently mix.
  3. For the topping, mix flour, sugar, cinnamon, and cold butter in a separate bowl until it resembles lumpy sand.
  4. Scatter the crumble topping over the fruit in a baking dish.
  5. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the topping is golden and bubbly juice leaks from the fruit.
  6. Cool slightly before serving.
