Silent Night Christmas Cocoa

A rich, creamy cocoa that warms you from the inside out, perfect for the holiday season.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Whipped cream (for topping)
  • Ground cinnamon (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the milk and heavy cream. Heat over medium heat, stirring frequently, until warm but not boiling.
  2. Add the chocolate chips to the milk mixture, stirring until melted and smooth.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract and nutmeg for a warm, spiced flavor.
  4. Pour the cocoa into mugs.
  5. Add a generous swirl of whipped cream, then dust lightly with ground cinnamon for a festive finish.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days, or freeze for up to three months. Reheat on the stove before serving.
