Silent Snowfall Christmas Cocoa

A delightful warm and creamy cocoa rich in flavor, topped with whipped cream and powdered sugar, perfect for the holiday season.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk (or your preferred milk)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup mini marshmallows
  • Whipped cream (for topping)
  • Powdered sugar (for a ‘snowy’ finish)
  • Mini marshmallows or large marshmallow ‘snowflakes’ (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, warm the milk and heavy cream over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally. Do not let it boil.
  2. Once the milk is hot, add the white chocolate chips and mini marshmallows, stirring until completely melted and smooth. Add the vanilla extract, stirring gently to blend the flavors.
  3. Pour the cocoa into mugs, filling each about 3/4 full. Top with a swirl of whipped cream, then dust lightly with powdered sugar for a ‘snowy’ look. Add a few more mini marshmallows or large marshmallow snowflakes if desired.

Notes

For a fun twist, serve with candy canes. This cocoa is best enjoyed fresh but can be refrigerated for up to three days.
