Slow-Cooker Salted Caramel Apple Cider

A warm, comforting drink that combines fresh apple cider with rich salted caramel, perfect for fall gatherings.

  • 1 gallon fresh apple cider
  • 1 cup salted caramel, warmed to a pourable consistency
  • 3 cinnamon sticks (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon whole cloves in a spice ball (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the cider in the slow cooker. If using spices, add the cinnamon sticks and cloves.
  2. Set the slow cooker to high and heat the cider for about two hours.
  3. Carefully add the warmed salted caramel to the cider and whisk until smooth.
  4. Heat for an additional 10-15 minutes to combine.
  5. Switch the cooker to the keep warm setting and serve in mugs.
  6. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week or freeze for up to six months.

Notes

For an adult version, add spiced rum or bourbon. Garnish with whipped cream, fresh apple slices, or marshmallows for added flair.
