Snow White’s Poison Apple Mocktail

A magical non-alcoholic mocktail that combines sweet and tart flavors in charming candy apple cups, perfect for special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 4 large apples
  • 400g caster sugar
  • 30ml Belvoir Farm Blueberry and Blackcurrant Cordial
  • 4 tbsp maple syrup
  • 150ml water
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 150ml Belvoir Farm Sparkling Pink Apple
  • 15ml Belvoir Farm Ginger Cordial
  • 1 tsp maple syrup (for the mocktail)
  • Fresh lime
  • Small piece fresh ginger
  • 1 star anise (to garnish)
  • 1 cinnamon stick (to garnish)
  • 1 shot vodka (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut the top off the apples carefully and hollow them out.
  2. In a saucepan, mix caster sugar, Belvoir Blueberry and Blackcurrant Cordial, and 100ml of water. Heat until sugar dissolves.
  3. Add maple syrup and white vinegar, stirring well. Continue heating until it reaches 150 degrees Celsius (hard crack stage).
  4. Dip each hollowed apple in the toffee mixture and place on baking parchment to cool.
  5. In a glass, combine Belvoir Ginger Cordial and 1 tsp of maple syrup.
  6. Pour in Belvoir Farm Sparkling Pink Apple and stir. Add fresh lime juice and grated ginger.
  7. Pour the mocktail mixture into the cooled candy apple cups and garnish with star anise and cinnamon sticks.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to a day. Do not freeze the mocktail.
