Spiced Hazelnut Oatmilk Cappuccino

A cozy and warming spiced hazelnut cappuccino made with oat milk, perfect for chilly mornings.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup hazelnuts, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine hazelnuts, water, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
  2. Bring to a simmer for 7-9 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove from heat and let sit for a few minutes, then strain through a fine mesh strainer into a jar.
  4. Steam or froth oat milk until thick and foamy.
  5. Brew a shot or two of espresso or use strong brewed coffee, pour into a mug, and add 2-3 tablespoons of the syrup.
  6. Top with the frothed oat milk and a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.

Notes

Store syrup in the fridge for up to two weeks or freeze in ice cubes for longer storage.
