Spooky Halloween Mocktail

A fun, fruity, and fizzy Halloween-themed mocktail made with orange juice, honey, lemon, and tonic water. Perfect for kids and adults at spooky parties!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 ounces orange juice
  • 8 ounces tonic water
  • 2 ounces lemon juice
  • 2 ounces honey
  • 1 tablespoon black nonpareils (crushed)
  • 2 drops red food coloring (optional)
  • 5 drops yellow food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, mix orange juice, lemon juice, and honey. Stir well.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
  3. Add red and yellow food coloring while simmering for a spooky orange hue. Stir to combine.
  4. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  5. Place black nonpareils in a plastic bag and crush them with a heavy object.
  6. Spread crushed nonpareils on a small plate. Dip glass rims in water or lemon juice, then into crushed nonpareils.
  7. Pour 4 ounces of juice mixture into each glass.
  8. Top each glass with tonic water for fizz.
  9. Serve immediately with Halloween straws or spooky garnishes like plastic spiders or gummy worms.

Notes

Store leftover juice mixture in the fridge for up to 2 days. Add tonic water only when ready to serve to keep it fizzy. Food coloring is optional but adds to the spooky effect!
