Stress-Relief Butterfly Pea Tea

A calming herbal tea that changes color with lime juice and is packed with antioxidants.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 tablespoon dried butterfly pea flowers
  • Juice of 1/2 lime

Instructions

  1. Boil water until it’s hot but not boiling.
  2. Place dried butterfly pea flowers in a teapot or heat-resistant container.
  3. Pour hot water over the flowers, ensuring they are fully submerged.
  4. Steep for about 4 minutes until the water turns bright blue.
  5. Strain to remove the flowers and let the tea cool slightly.
  6. Add lime juice to the tea and watch it change color to purple.
  7. Sip warm or pour over ice for a refreshing drink.

Notes

Consider adding honey or agave syrup for sweetness. Pairs well with light snacks.
