Sunrise Anti-Inflammatory Slushie

A refreshing Pineapple Ginger Drink that combines anti-inflammatory ingredients to boost your mood and health.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 thumb-sized chunk of fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
  • ½ tsp ground turmeric
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • ½ cup cold coconut water
  • 12 tsp local honey or maple syrup
  • A handful of ice cubes
  • Pinch of black pepper

Instructions

  1. Pour cold coconut water into your blender.
  2. Add frozen pineapple, ginger, and turmeric.
  3. Squeeze the lemon juice over the mixture.
  4. Add honey and a couple of ice cubes.
  5. Sprinkle a pinch of black pepper.
  6. Blend on low speed, then increase until slushy.
  7. If too thick, add more water to reach the desired consistency.
  8. Adjust sweetness if necessary and serve in your favorite glass.

Notes

Add more frozen fruit for thickness or adjust sweetness with additional honey. This drink can be customized with various add-ins like cayenne or spinach.
