Ube Ice Cream

A delightful and creamy dessert made from ube, a purple yam from the Philippines, featuring a unique sweetness and vibrant color.

  • 1 (10 oz) can condensed milk
  • 5 oz ube jam
  • 4 tsp ube extract
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups heavy cream

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the condensed milk, ube jam, ube extract, and vanilla extract. Stir until fully mixed.
  2. Take a generous dollop of whipped cream and fold it into your ube mixture to lighten it.
  3. Gently fold the lightened ube mixture into the remaining whipped cream.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a freezer-safe container and smooth the top.
  5. Cover with plastic wrap to prevent ice crystals from forming.
  6. Freeze overnight to allow the ice cream to firm up.

Notes

Serve with various toppings for added texture, and store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
