Valentine’s Day Strawberry Palmiers

A sweet and crispy treat made with buttery puff pastry and bright strawberry jam, perfect for Valentine’s Day or any occasion.

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • Fresh strawberries (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Spread the strawberry jam evenly over the pastry.
  4. Sprinkle the granulated sugar and cinnamon (if using) over the jam.
  5. Fold the edges of the pastry towards the center until they meet in the middle.
  6. Fold the pastry again, now bringing the folded edges to meet in the middle.
  7. Slice the pastry into 1/2-inch pieces and place them cut side up on a lined baking sheet.
  8. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with additional sugar.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Dust with powdered sugar and serve with fresh strawberries if desired.

Notes

For a healthier version, use low-sugar jam or gluten free puff pastry. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
