Vampire’s Kiss Cran-Blackberry Lemonade

A dramatic Halloween mocktail combining tart lemon, cranberry, and blackberry flavors, perfect for spooky celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (approximately 67 large lemons)
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar (adjustable to taste)
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1½ cups 100% cranberry juice (unsweetened preferred)
  • 1 cup blackberry juice or strained blackberry purée
  • 1 cup fresh seedless blackberries
  • 1 lime, sliced into thin half-moons
  • Club soda for optional fizz
  • Ice cubes
  • Red sanding sugar for rim decoration
  • Additional lemon for rim preparation

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Glasses: Dip the rim of each glass in fresh lemon juice, then in red sanding sugar to create a coated rim. Chill the glasses in the refrigerator.
  2. Create the Lemonade Base: In a large pitcher, combine lemon juice and granulated sugar. Whisk until sugar dissolves.
  3. Add the Juices: Slowly stir in cold water, cranberry juice, and blackberry juice. Adjust sweetness if necessary.
  4. Add Fresh Elements: Gently fold in fresh blackberries and lime slices, then add ice to chill the mixture.
  5. Serve with Flair: Pour lemonade into prepared glasses, distributing fruit evenly and adding club soda for sparkle if desired.

Notes

Make ahead by preparing the lemonade base 24 hours in advance. Store without ice or club soda until serving. Frozen blackberries work best for the ‘blood moon’ effect.
