Virgin Mai Tai Mocktail

A refreshing and tropical non-alcoholic drink perfect for gatherings, combining citrus and pineapple with non-alcoholic white rum.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz non-alcoholic white rum (or substitute)
  • 3/4 oz orange juice
  • 1 oz pineapple juice (optional)
  • 3/4 oz lime juice
  • 1/2 oz orgeat syrup (or substitute)
  • 2 dashes bitters (optional)
  • 1/2 oz non-alcoholic dark rum (for float, optional)
  • Mint (for garnish)
  • Lime (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Add non-alcoholic white rum, orange juice, pineapple juice (if using), lime juice, orgeat syrup, and bitters (if using) to a shaker with crushed ice.
  2. Shake for a few seconds until just combined. Do not over-shake; the goal is chill and dilute slightly.
  3. Pour the mixture into a glass and top with more crushed ice.
  4. Optionally, layer with non-alcoholic dark rum by pouring it slowly over the back of a spoon to create a float.
  5. Garnish with mint and a slice of lime, then serve.

Notes

For a lighter option, reduce orgeat to 1/4 oz or use sugar-free almond syrup.
