Baked Pumpkin Donuts

Delicious baked donuts made with nutritious pumpkin puree, offering a healthier alternative to traditional fried donuts.

  • 1/2 cup packed Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cloves
  • 1 cup Pumpkin Puree
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar (for cinnamon sugar coating)
  • 1 tablespoon Ground Cinnamon (for cinnamon sugar coating)
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter, melted (for cinnamon sugar coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl until well combined.
  3. Combine the wet ingredients in another bowl until smooth.
  4. Mix the wet and dry ingredients until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Fill the donut pan by spooning the batter into each cavity about 3/4 full.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool the donuts in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  8. Coat the warm donuts in melted butter followed by rolling them in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
