Blackberry Sage Iced Tea

A refreshing iced tea combining the vibrant flavors of blackberries and sage, perfect for hot summer days.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons dried sage leaves
  • 1 cup blackberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/4 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh sage leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a pot, bringing 2 cups to a boil.
  2. Add dried sage leaves and blackberries to the boiling water.
  3. Steep the mixture for about 15 minutes to blend the flavors.
  4. Strain the mixture to remove solids using a fine mesh strainer.
  5. Sweeten by stirring in sugar until fully dissolved.
  6. Add 4 cups of cold water to the tea mixture.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  8. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh sage leaves if desired.

Notes

For a healthier version, consider reducing sugar or using a natural sweetener like stevia. This tea is also perfect for meal prep.
