Cranberry Cobbler Smash

A refreshing drink that combines the tartness of cranberries with warm notes of cinnamon and vanilla, suitable for weight loss and diabetic-friendly.

  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • Crushed Ice
  • 1/2 cup Cinnamon Simple Syrup
  • 1 cup Cranberry Juice
  • 2 oz Bourbon (optional)
  • 1/2 cup Seltzer Water
  • Cinnamon Sticks for Garnish
  • Sugared Cranberries for Garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine the brown sugar, water, cinnamon stick, and ground cinnamon in a medium saucepan. Heat over medium-low heat.
  2. Dissolve the mixture using a whisk until the brown sugar is completely dissolved.
  3. Simmer the mixture for a minute, then turn off the heat and let it cool.
  4. Add the vanilla extract to the cooled mixture.
  5. Fill a glass with crushed ice.
  6. Mix the cinnamon simple syrup, cranberry juice, and bourbon in a separate container or shaker.
  7. Pour the mixture over the crushed ice in the glass.
  8. Add seltzer water to top off the drink.
  9. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and sugared cranberries.

Notes

For a healthier version, consider using stevia or monk fruit sweetener instead of brown sugar. The cinnamon simple syrup can be made in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to one week.
