Creamy Mushroom Pork Chops

Delightful dish that combines rich flavors of mushrooms and cream with tender pork chops, making it a healthier comfort food option.

  • 2 lb Boneless Pork Loin Chops
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • Black Pepper (freshly coarsely ground)
  • 2 tablespoons Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 8 oz Sliced Mushrooms (Cremini)
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1.5 cups Heavy Cream
  • 5 Cloves Minced Garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon Paprika
  • 3 tablespoons Fresh Thyme

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pork Chops by seasoning them with Italian seasoning, salt, and freshly ground black pepper.
  2. Sear the Pork Chops in a skillet with olive oil until golden brown on both sides.
  3. Cook the Mushrooms in the same skillet without stirring for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Reserve some cooked mushrooms as a garnish.
  5. Make the Creamy Sauce with heavy cream, minced garlic, and paprika; simmer until thickened.
  6. Reheat the Pork Chops in the sauce.
  7. Serve the chops topped with sauce and reserved mushrooms, garnished with more thyme.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, substitute regular flour with 1-to-1 gluten-free flour. Leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
