Creamy Smoked Sausage Pasta

A delicious and hearty pasta dish combining savory kielbasa with a creamy sauce, perfect for meal prep and busy weeknights.

  • 12 oz package of Kielbasa
  • 16 oz box of pasta
  • 2 TBSP of butter
  • 2 TBSP of minced garlic
  • 1 cup of heavy whipping cream
  • 2 8 oz cans of tomato sauce
  • 3 TBSP of tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup of shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp of Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • Dried parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil water in a large pot, add a pinch of salt and the pasta. Cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  2. Brown the Kielbasa: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add kielbasa and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside.
  3. Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Stir in heavy cream, tomato sauce, and tomato paste.
  4. Season the Sauce: Add Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well and let it simmer until thickened.
  5. Combine Pasta and Sauce: Drain pasta and add to the skillet with sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly, then stir in the browned kielbasa.
  6. Serve and Garnish: Spoon onto plates and sprinkle with extra Parmesan cheese and parsley. Enjoy!

Notes

For a healthier version, use whole wheat or lentil pasta, and for meal prep, store in individual containers.
