Crescent Moon and Bat Craft

A fun and easy DIY craft to create a charming crescent moon and bat decoration, perfect for home decor or seasonal gifts.

  • 1 Paper Plate (9 inch coated)
  • 1 Newspaper
  • Yellow Paint
  • 1 Clothespin
  • 1 Medium Pompom
  • 1 Piece White Yarn
  • 2 Medium Black Pompoms
  • 4 Mini Googly Eyes
  • 1 Sheet Black Construction Paper
  • 2 Black Pony Beads
  • Elmer’s Glue
  • 1 Hole Punch
  • 1 Pair Scissors

Instructions

  1. Cut the Paper Plate into a crescent moon shape.
  2. Paint one side of the crescent moon using yellow paint.
  3. Paint the other side once dry.
  4. Create the Bat’s body by folding and cutting construction paper.
  5. Prepare a hanging mechanism with string and pony beads.
  6. Assemble the bat using glue for fluff and eyes.
  7. Create holes for hanging on both moon and bat.
  8. Finish the craft by tying the bat as a hanging feature.

Notes

Use washable paint for kids and supervise them when using scissors and paints.
