Scale
  • 2 cups Strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup Sugar (or sugar substitute)

  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberries by washing them thoroughly. Hull and slice fresh strawberries, or thaw frozen strawberries.

  3. Cook the mixture over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the strawberries break down.
  4. Mash the mixture with a fork or potato masher for a smoother consistency, and cook for another 2-3 minutes if you added cornstarch.
  5. Cool the sauce and transfer to an airtight container for storage.

Notes

Use sugar substitutes for a diabetic-friendly option. Store the sauce in the refrigerator for up to one week or freeze for longer storage.
