Garlic Pasta Bake

A delicious and satisfying pasta bake packed with flavor from garlic and cheese, easily modifiable for healthier versions.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Pasta
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 4 to 6 cloves Fresh Garlic, Minced
  • 1 1/2 cups Parmesan Cheese, Freshly Grated
  • 1 1/2 cups Heavy Cream or Whole Milk
  • A Pinch of Nutmeg
  • Fresh Herbs (Parsley, Basil, or Chives)
  • Crushed Red Pepper
  • Breadcrumbs (Optional)
  • Cooked Chicken, Shrimp, or Bacon (Optional)
  • Sautéed Mushrooms, Spinach, or Roasted Broccoli (Optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease your 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until just shy of al dente. Drain and transfer to the baking dish.
  3. Combine the butter, minced garlic, and heavy cream in the baking dish. Stir until the butter melts.
  4. Add 1 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese and stir until evenly distributed.
  5. Top with the remaining Parmesan cheese and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  6. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute heavy cream with low-fat or dairy-free alternatives. This dish is also great for meal prep.
