Homemade Stovetop Green Bean Casserole

A chic twist on a classic holiday dish with creamy texture and crunchy topping, perfect for meal prep and healthy eating.

  • 2 cans Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1 cup Milk (any type)
  • 4 cups Fresh Green Beans (trimmed)
  • 1 cup Fried Onions
  • Salt and Pepper (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon Soy Sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix the two cans of Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup, 1 cup of milk, salt, pepper, and soy sauce in a large bowl until creamy.
  2. Add the trimmed fresh green beans, ensuring they are well coated with the soup mixture.
  3. Transfer the mixture into a slow cooker and spread it evenly.
  4. Cook on low heat for 240 to 300 minutes.
  5. Add half of the fried onions about 30 minutes before serving.
  6. Finish by topping with the remaining fried onions just before serving.

Notes

Consider using low-fat or fat-free cream of mushroom soup for a lighter version.
