Homemade Sweet Lassi

A refreshing yogurt-based drink that’s perfect for hot weather and pairs well with spicy dishes.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Yogurt
  • 1 cup Chilled Water or Milk
  • 6 Ice cubes
  • 4 tablespoons Sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cardamom powder
  • Chopped pistachio (for garnish)
  • Dried rose petals or Saffron (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Add 2 cups of yogurt, 1 cup of chilled water or milk, 6 ice cubes, 4 tablespoons of sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder into the blender.
  2. Blend all the ingredients until it becomes frothy. If you prefer a thinner consistency, add more water or blend in some additional ice cubes.
  3. Pour the lassi into serving glasses.
  4. Garnish with chopped pistachios and dried rose petals.
  5. Keep it chilled before serving to enhance the refreshing taste.

Notes

For a lighter version, use low-fat yogurt or natural sweeteners. It’s best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
