Hot Chocolate with Chili

A unique twist on the classic hot chocolate, combining rich chocolate with a spicy kick from chili.

Ingredients

  • 625 ml milk
  • 90 g semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 0.5 ml ground cayenne pepper
  • 2.5 ml vanilla extract
  • 60 ml 35 percent cream, whipped (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
  2. Add the chopped semi-sweet chocolate and stir with a whisk until completely melted.
  3. Sprinkle in the ground cayenne pepper and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the hot chocolate into bowls or mugs, topping with whipped cream if desired.
  5. Let cool slightly before serving and enjoy the warmth and flavor.

Notes

Feel free to customize the spice level by adjusting the cayenne pepper and enjoy with a dollop of whipped cream on top.
