Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 Lemon, juiced
  • 2 tablespoons Honey, or to taste
  • 1 inch Fresh Ginger, peeled and sliced
  • Optional: Lemon Slices for Garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil the Water: Start by pouring 2 cups of water into your saucepan. Place it on the stovetop over medium heat. Allow the water to reach a rolling boil.
  2. Add the Sliced Ginger: Once the water is boiling, add the sliced ginger pieces. Reduce the heat to a simmer and let the ginger steep in the water for about 10 minutes.
  3. Remove from Heat and Strain: After 10 minutes, remove the saucepan from the heat. Place your strainer over a bowl or another saucepan and pour the ginger tea through the strainer.
  4. Stir in the Lemon Juice and Honey: Squeeze the juice of one whole lemon into the tea, then add the honey. Use your spoon to stir well until the honey is fully dissolved and combined.
  5. Serve Hot: If you like, add some lemon slices as garnish to enhance the presentation. Serve hot and enjoy the soothing flavors.
