Magical Creamy Lavender Lemonade

A refreshing and healthy twist on classic lemonade with the serene essence of lavender.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 4 cups water
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar (or substitute with low-calorie sweetener)
  • 1 tbsp dried culinary lavender
  • 0.25 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the water and sugar by pouring 1 cup of water into a medium saucepan and adding granulated sugar. Heat over medium-high, stirring until dissolved.
  2. Add lavender and simmer, adding 1 tbsp dried culinary lavender and letting it simmer on low heat for 3 to 5 minutes.
  3. Steep the syrup by removing the saucepan from heat and letting the mixture steep for 10 minutes.
  4. Strain the syrup using a strainer to separate the lavender flowers, pouring the liquid into a bowl or measuring cup to cool.
  5. Mix the lemonade by combining 1 cup of fresh lemon juice with 3 cups of water in a pitcher, adding in the cooled lavender syrup.
  6. Add cream and chill, slowly drizzling in 0.25 cup heavy cream while stirring, then refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.
  7. Serve over ice, filling glasses with ice cubes and pouring the chilled lavender lemonade over top.

Notes

This lemonade can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge for about 3 days.
